Who may use Slideable
Anyone aged 16 or over may use the service. If you are using it for an organisation, you are confirming that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation, and "you" then means both of you. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what any AI agent you connect to it does.
Your decks stay yours
You keep all rights in the content you create, upload or import — the text, the images, the data, the finished decks. We claim no ownership of any of it.
To actually run the service we need a narrow permission from you: a licence to store your content, transmit it, render it, generate previews and thumbnails of it, and serve it to the people you share it with. That licence exists only so that the software can do the things you asked it to do, it is not exclusive, and it ends when you delete the content. It does not let us publish your work, show it to anyone you have not shared it with, or use it to train models.
What you may not do with it
- Break the law with it, or use it to infringe somebody else’s copyright, trademark or privacy.
- Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, harassing or sexually exploitative of children.
- Attack the service: probing for vulnerabilities without permission, scraping it at volume, circumventing rate limits or authentication, or reselling access to it.
- Impersonate somebody else, or use the service to run a scam.
- Use another person’s account, or share your credentials or agent tokens with people who should not have them.
We may suspend or remove content and accounts that do these things. Where the situation allows it we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it; where it does not — an active attack, a legal order, a risk to other users — we will act first and explain afterwards.
Accounts, and what happens if you stop using it
You can close your account at any time, and doing so deletes your decks and their history on the timetable set out in the privacy policy. We can close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms. If we discontinue the service or a material part of it, we will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export their work, because a deck editor that takes your decks with it when it goes is not a tool anyone should trust.
Connecting AI agents
Slideable lets you grant a third-party AI client access to your decks over MCP. That client is not ours and we do not control it. When you connect one you authorise it to read and change your decks as you, you accept that the deck contents it reads are sent to that provider under that provider’s terms, and you remain responsible for the result — including for edits an agent makes that you did not intend. Revoke a token you no longer want to be live.
Third-party content
Stock images searched through the editor are supplied by Unsplash and are subject to the Unsplash licence. Fonts, logos and any other material you bring into a deck remain subject to whatever licence governs them. Checking that you are allowed to use an asset in a particular deck is your responsibility, not ours.
The service is provided as it is
Slideable is offered without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will never lose data. Keep your own copies of work you cannot afford to lose; the export to PDF exists partly for that reason.
Limits on what we owe you
To the fullest extent the law allows, Slideable is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the date of the last change. For changes that materially reduce your rights we will give account holders notice by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. If you do not accept a change, close your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
